Fatigue360

• A new Shift Issues Popup has been added to the Event Timeline, that all outstanding issues on that Event. This popup is accessible after selection of an Event on the Event timeline, provided the Event is flagged as having issues (coloured red). Green/Yellow Events will not have this option.

You can choose to View each of the shifts in the list, which will load up the Shift Timeline to the point in time of the shift, allowing you to review the schedule and take action.

• New Planned vs. Actual Report was added as an option in the Report Module, to allow a comparison between planned and actual fatigue, risk, and rest.
• Individual Staff Fatigue and Risk Report that can be downloaded for a specific period via the Staff Timeline.
• ‘Supply Chain’ Sponsor Type added as a Sponsor Type option for Staff Members.
• New option for Roster Export to include shifts marked as Did Not Attend.
• The Purchase Order has been added to the Roster Export.
• The Clause Conflicts graph has been updated to show the specific clauses being breached when hovering over a data point.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed issue with Roomex CSV Export, where date values weren’t read correctly after the file was opened and resaved in Excel.

Workforce App

• The Roster Changes Notification has been updated, based on feedback, to include the dates of the affected shifts, e.g., 2 Shifts were cancelled (01/10, 02/10), and to include shifts that the Staff Member was unassigned from (if they had been confirmed/accepted).

Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue where a shift with a skipped end journey could reappear on the home screen after the shift times were changed by the user.

Worksite360

• Added the Hours Worked, Average Shift Length and Total Unique People to the Event homepage. For the Hours Worked, any shifts marked as DNSO it is assumed that their shift length was the average shift length.

• Improved the UI for adding multiple-choice answers in the Assessment Module to make setting these up easier. 
• The What3Words field has been added to the Add/Edit Event form in Worksite360 and will be displayed on the Event Homepage along with the Access Point, Postcode and Google Map.
• Updated the processes to improve the performance and reliability of using Worksite360 data to update Fatigue360 Shifts as Did Not Attend, or add Unplanned entries
• Addressed a performance issue with loading of records in the People Module, while searching for a card number or name.
• Addressed a performance issue when looking up existing Event names for autocompletion when adding an Event*
• Addressed a performance issue in the Dashboard API with the loading of Events and associated data over a longer period*

*Improved overall system speed and responsiveness.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed issue with register import where cells with values created by a formula could be read incorrectly.

Obstruction360

• Improved database querying when retrieving notices, decreasing the time taken to load hundreds or thousands of notices raised across a long-running project.
• Updated rendering of notices on the web to only load images within the user's viewport, loading the rest when the user scrolls.

Organisation Dashboard

• Added App Sessions to the User page, showing the first and last time a User was seen using a specific version of an App.

Notifications

Workforce App

Starting today (26th July), a new daily Notification will be sent to Users of the Workforce App at 4pm to tell them about updates (made in the previous 24 hours) to their shifts for the next 7 days. (Update; an issue prevented some Notifications from being sent out on the 26th, but all Notifications fired successfully on the 27th July).

This notification will tell them about shifts they have been assigned to, had the times (start/finish) or role changed.  It will also tell them about any new shifts that have been created and any shifts that have been cancelled (so long as they are still assigned to them).

By default, this new Notification is enabled for all Clients as we view this as an important update to the platform as it ensures Staff are aware of changes being made to their upcoming shifts.  A new setting Roster Update Notifications has been added to the Settings screen in Fatigue360 whereby you can disable this notification.

We'll be monitoring the output of this Notification, and welcome any feedback to improve this.

Fatigue360

A new Notification has been added for licenced Users in Fatigue360, that will show whether a Staff Member accepts or rejects a request to work a shift via the Workforce App.  This is an optional notification and can be enabled by accessing the Notification screen from the profile menu in Fatigue360.

Misc. / Other Changes

This month we've made several updates that aim to improve the performance in certain areas of the platform that we had identified. The improvements have either come through a reduction in queries or by moving some tasks to be processed in the background.

We can see from our server monitoring, that the changes outlined below have already had a positive impact on reducing potential bottlenecks. 

This will be an ongoing process as we continue to monitor and identify other areas that need to be tackled.

Platform

• Reduced the number of queries required for tracking the logged-in session to improve overall performance and number of transactions.

Fatigue360

• Calculation of rest and the Fatigue/Risk indexes when copying or deleting an Event are now processed in the background. This decreases the time it takes to perform either of these actions.
• Re-calculation of rest and the Fatigue/Risk indexes after updating an actual has been moved to be processed in the background, greatly improving the time it would take to modify an older actual.
• Syncing of a shift on an Event Request will sync valid shifts and exclude those with issues. Previously an issue in the request (e.g., Staff Member doesn’t exist) would prevent synchronisation of all shifts.

Worksite360

• Screens have been added to the Organisation Dashboard to allow for custom entries to be added for all Close Call lookup fields.
• Added option for Users to submit a request for a Card that they own via Worksite360 for Organisations that allow users to do this.
• Updated the Excel Export for Inductions to include the recorded Primary Sponsor for each inducted person.

Enviro360

• A new version of the App was released to address a bug when scanning NFC tags on a device running Android 13.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed a query processing issue where multiple expensive queries would reduce the overall performance of the platform.
• Fixed an issue where an actual on a Supplier Event would be used in the Fatigue Calculation after the Event was deleted/cancelled.
• Fixed an issue where a cancelled shift would continue to be displayed on the Staff timeline for a cancelled Supplier Event that was no longer accessible.

New Features and Enhancements

Fatigue360

• Added option to change what shifts are shown on the Staff Timeline, either the Planned (default and as before) or to include actual where captured.
• On a long Event (e.g. that runs for several months) the time taken to load the Staff list (via the Staff sidebar) has been reduced by limiting the window auxiliary data is loaded for. 
• Added Actual Shift Issues to the dashboard to show the number of issues (e.g., On-Site, Door to Door, High Fatigue Index) for Actual Shifts. This will be displayed provided there were actuals captured in the selected timespan.
• Shift issues on Supplier shifts are now displayed on the Shift Issues wheel and can be drilled down in the same way.
• Improved the performance of updating an Actual Shift
• On saving an Event – if the error was off screen – the page will now scroll to that point to show the user what the issue was.
• Staff Charts updated to show the Week Number / Start of Week on the x-axis.
• Added restriction to the default Shift importers to prevent shifts over 48 hours long from being imported.
• MacRail Pre-Pop Export option was added under the Exports on the Shift Timeline to export Sentinel shifts for use in the MacRail system.

Worksite360

• Custom Rejection Reasons can now be added via the Organisation Dashboard

Bug Fixes

Fatigue360

• Rest before wouldn’t reset if the shift was now chronologically the Staff Member’s first but previously wasn’t.
• Updating Accommodation status from to cancelled would occasionally not update corresponding shifts.
• Actual Importer could crash if an invalid date was uploaded.
• Events wouldn't be imported if missing the sub-type.
• When Staff would update their Actual time in/out via the Workforce App, the original time left rest/time arrive at rest would remain resulting in time clashes.
• Fixed display issue with Event Requirements for an Event Request that would remove carriage returns.

New Features and Enhancements

Fatigue360

• Updated the Clause Level 1 Exceedance to require 12 hours of rest after being triggered.
• Added an option to Clauses to restrict/cut shifts to the selected timeframe. For a night shift that spans over the start/end of the window, the hours can be split between two windows.
• Reports can now be filtered to a specific Team
• A list of team members can be viewed via the Team screen.
• Sentinel Import updated to work with updates made recently to Sentinel.
• Modified the y-axis on the Shift Staff Chart based on User feedback
• Reduced the max y-axis on the Fatigue/Risk/Clause Staff charts to reduce whitespace based on User feedback
• Updated the label on the Shift Staff chart to show the correct time in/out

Worksite360

• Limit recently used Vehicle Registration numbers on Sign in page to only those validated with the DVLA (MacRail System)
• Sentinel Import updated to work with updates made recently to Sentinel.

Bug Fixes

Fatigue360

• Fixed a bug where refreshing the Shift timeline would reset the zoom level.
• Fixed a bug where overlapping conflict message remains when there is no longer any overlap
• Fixed a bug where cancelling a shift didn't resolve overlapping conflicts.
• Fixed an issue with the actual import when the start or finish times were missing
• Fixed an issue with dashboard widgets being misaligned on specific screen sizes.
• Fixed a bug where signing out of the Workforce App would fail and could force the user to log out
• The 'No Staff Address' message changed if the Event doesn't have an address to clarify why Staff aren't ordered.
• Fixed an issue with the Client synchronising supplier shifts when the staff member isn't on the client's list.

Worksite360

• Fixed issue with responses from DVLA that reply with 0 emission score for Petrol/Diesel vehicle types (MacRail System)
• Fixed an issue where an induction would be assigned on shift confirmation, even when there was no media for the user to have read.
• Fixed an issue where the latest Welfare/Maintenance checks wouldn't be shown.
• Fixed a bug where not all people would be synchronized to the FR cameras

We have launched this new screen to Fatigue360 displaying 4 charts detailing a Staff Member's shift pattern, fatigue/risk index, and the number of clause breaches. Viewing this data this way makes it possible to see the impact of their shift pattern over a longer period of time.

The charts are designed to work together, so you can zoom in on one and the others will do the same, allowing you to analyse a specific time period across all charts (e.g.,  view the shifts worked, in relation to a rise in the Fatigue or Risk index). Each chart can be downloaded as an image to save offline for your reporting/analysis needs. 

With these charts it becomes clear how the Fatigue and Risk Index can increase the more (consecutive) shifts someone works. Along with the benefit of them having a day's rest or leave in reducing the indexes.

To view these charts for one of your Staff Members you will need to go to their timeline and then click on the new 'View Charts' button on the right-hand side. The Staff Timeline is accessible, either via an option on the Staff page, clicking on a Staff Member's name when viewing shifts on an Event, or when viewing/editing Staff details.

Users of the Workforce App will now be sent Notification reminders and alerts! These Notifications will remind them to sign in and out from their shifts based on their plan. As part of the Fatigue Management process, capturing when Staff actually start and end their shifts is important to generating accurate rest, fatigue and risk.

The initial batch of Notifications will be sent for the following reasons:

• 1 Hour before the scheduled start of the Shift, to remind the User about their upcoming shift.
• 30 minutes before the expected finish of the Shift, to remind the User that they are approaching the end of their shift.
• 30 minutes before they will have been on-site longer than the on-site rule (and then when they breach the rule).
• 30 minutes before they will have a door-to-door longer than the door-to-door rule (and then when they breach the rule).

If you choose to not have these alerts/reminders sent out, then Organisation Admins can disable notifications via the Settings module in Fatigue360.

Today, we’re excited to announce a much-requested feature for Fatigue360 – customisable minimum rest length. This new feature makes Fatigue360 even more comprehensive and as you no longer have to apply a blanket minimum rest rule – it can now be tailored to individual client requirements. 

This can be customised in two ways:

• Organisation Admins can now set up the desired minimum rest length for the Organisation via the Settings screen in Fatigue360.
• Organisation Admins can now set the desired minimum rest length for a specific Company via the Organisation Dashboard. This has been added alongside the fields for the On-Site/Door-to-Door rules.

Note: Any changes will only affect future Events. Any Event that has finished or is currently underway will use the previous value (e.g., 12 Hours)

New Features and Enhancements

Upload Word & PDF documents to a planned shift, under two categories ‘General Shift Documents’ and ‘Risk Assessment’. Documents can be uploaded under the Media Section or via the new icon added at the top of the Shift sidebar. ‘Risk Assessment’ documents are automatically removed when Staff Members are unassigned.

• Admin Users can view all files uploaded in Fatigue360 and what they are associated with.

• Additional Media upload options to come in future updates to Events & Staff

New Features and Enhancements

• Fatigue360 Accommodation Import
  • Users can use the Excel Template to capture all required information needed.
  • Users can also export their bookings from Roomex and upload them into Fatigue360.
  • Like other Importers in Fatigue360, if any issues are found with the upload these will be shown to the User for them to resolve or choose not to import.

• Staff Creation will now opt out Staff Members from the 48 Hour Working Time Directive by default.
• Staff Importer updated to highlight the specific fields that have an issue.
• If a User had a username generated, then this will now be shown on the User profile on the Organisation Dashboard

Bug Fixes

• Slow loading time when viewing a User’s profile from the Organisation Dashboard
• Fatigue360 Dashboard didn’t remember the selection of date/team made after navigating away.
• Selecting the ‘Allow Access to Workforce App’ when creating a Staff record wouldn’t link the User account and email the individual.
• Start/Finish times on the Shift Importer would ignore an invalid year value e.g., 20223.
• Workforce App Links in the email linked to the production or demo versions of the app rather than just the production version.
